How HeatShield Products Fail - and How We Fix Them

• HeatShield CeaseFire caps with galvanized bases corroding at the flange. The CeaseFire line uses a galvanized base under a stainless hood, and in Manassas the junction between the two metals is where we see electrolysis eat through first. We see it on caps as young as four years. The fix is a full replacement with a 304 stainless base, not a patch, because the flange is structural.
